Organisation Information: 

Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O'Rourke, two of Europe's most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion.

Bylor are responsible for the Design & Build (D&B) including fit out and handover of the HBX Operations Service Centre (OSC) within Hinkley Point C. The building is a mixed use warehouse/office/laboratory/restaurant and office building which connects to both Unit 1& 2 Turbine Halls via sky bridges.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Manage assurance and compliance for continuous improvement
  • Help set and follow the quality framework and process for the client product quality requirements
  • Support the Quality Leader to set the quality culture and drive continuous improvement
  • Support the implementation of the quality management system
  • Provide guidance on quality plans, method statements, ITPS, work procedures and materials forms
  • Support non conformance with corrective actions and help prevent issues arising in the future
  • Support the implementation of digital tools for construction to support lifetime quality records
  • Help to develop LTQR (Life Time Quality Records) for handover
  • Monitor and report on quality performance
  • Manage quality engineers
  • Carry out and support audits

Qualification

  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal or Lead Audit certified or working towards. Recent application of audit skills is preferred.
  • A Chartered Member of the (CQI) Chartered Quality Institute (or an equivalent recognised Quality body), or an appropriate engineering institute or working towards.
  • The position is a site based at Hinkley point C, It forms an important part of both the project team and quality team.

All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O'Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.
