Land Surveyor (5037)
Laing O'Rourke are recruiting for a Land Surveyor to work on major projects in Northwest of England!
This role combines working in our offices as well as on sites.
* UK driving license essential *
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking land / topographic and engineering surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as robotics and 3D scanners
- Setting out
- Analysing data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD, Civils3D, Leica Survey Software.
- Preparing survey drawings

- Leica Surveying equipment
- Numeracy and the ability to make mathematical calculations
- The ability to understand and interpret data
- Lateral and logical thinking
- Cutting-edge IT skills and confidence with new technology (Leica)
- Problem solving and analysis
- Attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Organisation and time management
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Degree in Geomatics/Engineering Surveying or Tech Qual (NVQ/TSA) or relevant qualifications preferred
- Experience within Leica systems
Qualifications and training required
- Degree in Geomatics/Engineering Surveying or Tech Qual (NVQ/TSA)
- ICES membership (Grad/Assoc)
- Full driving license required
