Lifting Solutions is looking to recruit a hire desk supervisor to support the Lifting department primarily within the Tower Crane commercial team. This role will be assisting the day to day running of the Hire Desk within Tower cranes to ensure that we are offering both our internal but external client a professional service.

Role and Responsibility 

  • Review work programme ensuring contract set up in Coins to allow cost allocation for all works – from contract set up to close out.
  • Manage the charge out of Operatives timesheets – ensure all records and paperwork are up to date, recorded and issued with month-end invoices.
  • Work closely with our payroll administrator to ensure processes and procedures are followed to allow effective charge out.
  • Work within the tower crane commercial team to ensure Contract transparency to ensure correct charges are applied to ensure an efficient process is maintained.
  • Manage and issue the live Contract tracker – internal and external clients
  • Ad hoc duties which may be requested by your management team.
  • Manage Accruals – costings for month end for Materials and Labour.
  • Dealing with incoming phone calls/emails in a professional and prompt manner
  • Processing the supply of products in an accurate and timely manner
  • Providing customers with guidance on the most suitable equipment required
  • Organise and plan administrative workloads to provide an effective service
  • Respond to queries/complaints, liaises with the appropriate people within Select and resolve the issues raised through the complaints process

What will the role look like?

  • A keen eye for detail to ensure consistency and resolve queries
  • Have good organisational skills and operate with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to plan and organise workloads
  • Good knowledge of IT including Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams etc)
  • knowledge of COINS, commercial understanding, site solutions, plant hire or hire desk exposure is desirable.
