BMS Commissioning Engineer (4430)

Are you a Tridium Niagara expert? Can you commission BMS controls equipment such as fan coil units and chilled beams? Do you have experience working on large construction projects?

Then our in-house MEP Engineering business, Crown House Technologies, is the company for you.  We are looking for an experienced BMS commissioning engineer to join the team on our Oxford North scheme. Here we will deliver one million sq ft (92,903 sq m) of laboratory and workspaces, 480 new homes, hotel, nursery, cafes, bars, three public parks and infrastructure.

Role overview

  • Commission Motor Centre Control (MCC) and outstations to monitor and control mechanical systems such as ventilation air plant systems or pumps for water systems (BMS) and Electrical meters (EMS) within the same systems.
  • To commission BMS controls equipment mounted in third-party equipment such as Fan Coil Units (FCU'S) and Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP's)
  • To prove the interaction between the BMS and third-party equipment such as Air handling Units (AHU's), ground source heat pumps and chillers.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork associated with the above is completed in line with the commissioning works that is undertaken.
  • Ensuring handover of fully operational BEMS Systems.
  • Investigating and repairing faults.
  • Responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time and on budget to a satisfied client.
  • Responsible for the commercial performance of the project including the preparation, submission, and agreement of variations.
  • Overall responsibility for health and safety management on all managed projects.
  • Ensuring standard documents are continually used and maintained including the Schedule of Deliverables, Project Dashboard, Functional Design Specifications, Points Schedules, Panel Drawings, Technical submittals, RFI's, etc

What do we look for?

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications (full electrical apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of delivering BEMS systems specifically Schneider, Tridium  
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of BEMS
  • Experience working with BACNET and or Modbus
  • Valid CSCS or ECS site card
