Assistant Electrical Estimator (4862)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a trainee or assistant electrical estimator to join our team of industry experts working on major construction bids, this will give you the chance to commence and develop a career in estimating working across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, life sciences, data centres, defence, and prisons.

 

What would the role involve?

  • You will be responsible for supporting the business growth, work winning and project delivery.
  • Assisting with the preparation of prime cost estimates with supervision. Assimilate knowledge and understanding and then apply this knowledge to complete fundamental tasks.
  • Help with taking details from tender documents for internal reporting supply chain enquiries etc.
  • Develop an understanding of MEP related construction techniques / terminologies.
  • Gain the ability to measure (using both traditional take off and Digital techniques) and bill from engineering drawings simplistic elements of a project for costing.

 

What skills & experience are we looking for?

This is a trainee role therefore, any experience is an advantage not a requirement.

  • Ability to use initiative to think ahead, learn, plan and be able to work unsupervised for periods of time.
  • Good written & oral communication skills.
  • Role is adaptable for various levels of education from Building Services / Quantity Surveying Degree, BTEC HNC, A levels or T Levels, candidates looking to start a career or transfer from a MEP trade position to office based.
  • Investment in attaining suitable qualifications will be available to successful candidate.
