Job Title – Apprentice Trainee MEP Digital Engineer

What is a Trainee MEP Digital Engineer?
The Trainee MEP Digital Engineer will be part of the Digital Engineering team in the preparation of 3d models and drawings for Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Building Services.
The models and drawings are an essential part of the Laing O'Rourke and Crown House pre-construction process and provide information to our teams for the offsite manufacture and installation phase of projects.
Building Services Engineering is a specialist branch of engineering within the construction sector. The systems that are designed bring a building to life with power, light, heating, cooling, ventilation as well hot and cold water and drainage.
The MEP Digital Engineering team create virtual 3d models of these systems to make sure they are fully co-ordinated with the architecture and structure as well as incorporating all the requirements to ensure efficient and safe manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance.
The Laing O'Rourke Apprenticeship programme - what can you expect?
The Trade and Technical Apprenticeship programme provides you with a formal college education, leading to a Level 2 and/or 3 apprenticeship standard in your chosen vocation. You will also gain a broad set of trade technical skills through on-the-job training, supported by our qualified and experienced workforce, and construction professionals. A dedicated mentor and approved training provider will work closely with you, providing regular feedback on your progress towards completing your apprenticeship

What are we looking for?
We are looking for people with a genuine interest in construction and the built environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and ambitious, with the potential to progress to a supervisory / management role over a five-to-ten-year period.
- Eligibility without restrictions to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable;
- Full mobility to enable travel to various project locations;
- Attainment of three to five GCSEs or equivalent (number and level will depend on role).
